The Over Running Festival: Ultra Endurance, Community, and Inclusivity in Cambridgeshire

Would You Run 24 Hours to Change a Child’s Life? Here’s Why I Will—And How YOU Can, Too!

Hey Runpreneurs! Stop right there—imagine earning an ultramarathon medal, transforming your health, and saving children’s lives… all in ONE weekend. Sounds impossible? Let me show you how the Over Running Festival is about to make this dream an absolute reality.

Over Running Festival: The Ultra Event That Matters

If you know me, you know I’m a man on a mission—completing the Runpreneur Challenge, running 40,075km, racking up to and beyond Day 4,292, and aiming to raise £1 million for children’s charities. Every day, every mile, is a battle for this cause.

But trust me: now it’s your turn. Because the Over Running Festival isn’t just another race. This is YOUR chance to be part of something bigger. Whether you’re a newbie, a weekend jogger, or an absolute ultra running nut, there’s a place for you.

What’s the Over Running Festival All About?

Here’s the quick fire lowdown:

  • 24 Hour Ultra Endurance Challenge: Complete a minimum of ten 5km loops in 24 hours (that’s 50km!), and you’ll grab an ultra medal! Want to go further? How about max loops? The sky’s the limit.

  • 10km & 5km Races: Perfect for families, first-timers, or anyone chasing a new PB.

  • Community Fête, Family Fun, and More: Not just a run—a WHOLE village event, with festivities centred at Over Community Centre, gorgeous Cambridgeshire.

And the best bit? Entry to the 24-hour ultra is entirely FREE. All we ask is that you pledge to raise £100 for vital children’s charities—or just pay the amount outright if you prefer.

Why Is It Special? Because YOU Can Do It!

Let’s smash some myths. Ultra running isn’t reserved for superhumans. With the right mindset and a bit of training—yes, even walking!—YOU can finish an ultra. We’re giving you:

  • A personalised training plan from Neil Marsh, a qualified coach and ultra running pro.

  • Ongoing guidance, group support, and accountability—all powered by the epic Runpreneur Community and Histon & Impington – Running.

  • Taster sessions, easy access to training resources, and the strength of a community striving for the same life-changing goals.

Remember: It’s not about a finish time. It’s about the finish LINE!

The Route: Scenic, Safe, Social

Our 5km loop is crafted to be gentle and accessible, circling the Over Community Centre and the beautiful Cambridgeshire backdrop, with marshals and safety measures everywhere. No daunting crossings, no mad traffic—just you, the open village, family-friendly fields, and encouragement at every turn.

Rest, recharge, and repeat—there’s even a physio on site for free sports massages and plenty of food, drink, and socialising. Plus, if you’ve ever wanted crowd support, Over village’s got it covered: cafés, a pub, and enthusiastic locals waiting to cheer you on!

How To Get Involved

  1. Sign up at overrunningfestival.co.uk

  2. Pick your challenge: 24 hour ultra (pledge/fundraise), 10km or 5km (small entry fee).

  3. Enter your details—done! You’ll get full instructions, your training plan, and join our buzzing community.

Why I’m Doing This (And Why You Should, Too)

For me, every step is about giving children a future. Through fundraising and awareness, I want to prove that our everyday efforts—even one footstep at a time—CAN move the world. You don’t need to be an Olympian. You don’t even need to run the whole way. You just need belief.

Join me. Take on the campus. Push your limits. Make friends for life. And help us reach that £1 million, ONE run—ONE child—at a time.

Stay positive, stay happy, and keep running for good!
