Uncovering the Biggest Pain Points for Entrepreneurs and Business Owners

STOP Scrolling: 90% of Entrepreneurs Are Doomed to Fail—Here’s What’s REALLY Holding Us Back (And How We Fix It Together)

Hey Runpreneur community, Kevin here. I’ve battled through 1,763 consecutive days of run vlogging, pushing towards my goal of running a full lap around the world—40,075km, barefoot, with the mission of raising £1,000,000 for children’s causes. But as I lace up (or rather, don’t lace up!) for another daily run and reflect on my decades in business, a brutal truth keeps coming up...

Most entrepreneurs and business owners are on a one-way track to failure. Not because we lack drive, passion, or even ideas—those are in abundance. It’s because we’re all facing the SAME hidden pain points, and if we don’t tackle them head on, it won’t matter how hard we hustle.

The 3 Entrepreneurial Killers No One Warned Me About

When I dug into why 9 out of 10 businesses collapse (yes, a staggering 90%), the numbers slapped me in the face:

85% of businesses go under because of CASH problems. I’m talking about poor cash flow management, running out of runway, staring at out-of-date accountant printouts and praying they make sense. It’s scary how little actual clarity we have about what’s REALLY in the bank, or what our true profit and loss looks like right now.

40% of us are burning out—working over 60 hours a week. And it gets worse: 60% are grinding at least 50 hours each week. We think we’re building businesses, but often, we are the business—it doesn’t run unless we do. That’s a recipe for exhaustion and, ultimately, collapse.

75% are stuck in people problems. The wrong hires, not developing the right team, micromanaging, or watching our best people walk out the door—sound familiar? Managing people can be a minefield if we haven’t got the right systems in place.

MY MISSION: TURNING THE TIDE

I founded my new venture—Digital Operations Director—not just to help others, but because I NEEDED it myself. I wanted a digital operating system to:

  • Drive efficiency and automate the grind

  • Give me real-time financial data at my fingertips

  • Free my mind (and calendar) to actually GROW my businesses

Here’s the kicker: The biggest pain point isn’t working too hard (though that’ll ruin you quick), nor is it team headaches (though nobody wants a revolving door of staff). The stats don’t lie: Cash is king. Lack of financial clarity kills more businesses than anything else. That’s why I’m rebuilding my implementation process to tackle this FIRST—not second, not third, but as the foundation. Because we need live data and proper cashflow forecasting, not historical reports that are months out of date.

WHY THIS MATTERS (AND HOW YOU CAN HELP)

This mission is bigger than business. Every step I run—and every business problem I solve—brings us closer to £1,000,000 raised for children’s causes. That’s lives changed, one kilometre at a time, one solution at a time.

So here’s my call to action:

  • If you’re fighting in the entrepreneurial trenches, let’s fix your pain points together. Comment below: What’s YOUR biggest bottleneck?

LET’S DEFY THE ODDS—TOGETHER

We’re not destined to be part of the 90% that fail. We’re leaders, creators, givers. And together, we’ll run further—for our children, our futures, and our freedom.

Stay positive, stay happy, and keep running with me—towards day 4,292, 40,075km, and £1M raised for kids who need us most.
