Celebrating 1250 Days of Running: A Milestone Journey
Welcome back, everyone. I'm Kevin Brittain, and today marks a massive milestone – 1250 days of consecutive running! It's hard to believe that I've kept this streak alive for so long, and every day continues to be a unique challenge and experience.
Yesterday, I crossed another significant threshold: 10,000 kilometers of daily running faster. Achieving that just before hitting 1250 days feels truly epic. These milestones came so close together that it’s almost overwhelming. But enough about numbers; let's talk about how I marked this incredible feat.
This morning, I set out for my run in some pretty horrendous conditions: tiny, windy, storm-like, and dark without a head torch. It was one of those days where everything seemed to conspire against me. I must admit, I felt a bit disoriented running without proper lighting, but sometimes, that’s how life goes – you just have to keep moving forward, no matter what.
What’s more, my day was jam-packed from start to finish. Besides the physical challenge of running, my schedule was filled with back-to-back meetings in my business world. By the time evening rolled around, I was exhausted. It was just approaching 6 PM, and I realized I needed to take care of myself properly to avoid burning out. A good meal was definitely on the agenda to recharge my batteries.
Reflecting on today, I recognized how important it is to maintain balance. There are days when the social and professional demands are overwhelming, and if I don't manage them well, I risk breaking down.
One key takeaway from today's experience is a bit of a cliché, but it's worth repeating: If you want more, you have to go out there and get it. This outlook has driven me not just in running but in all facets of my life. It’s a reminder to stay committed, focused, and to celebrate the milestones along the way.
As we continue this journey together, I hope my experiences serve as inspiration for you to pursue your own goals, no matter how big or small.
Thank you for following my journey. Stay tuned, stay happy, and I’ll see you again tonight.
Cheers,
Kevin Brittain
