I am currently on Day 1924 of a journey that most people thought was impossible when I started. It is a daily barefoot-style running streak that has taken me through every season, every mood, and over 14,000 kilometres toward my ultimate goal of 40,075km—a full lap of the world. But today, the miles weren't really about me. They were for the local Under 15s boys football team.
When I see these young lads out on the pitch, "doing their thing" and playing with that raw, unfiltered enjoyment, it anchors me back to the core of the Runpreneur mission. This isn't just a personal endurance test; it’s a strategic effort to raise £1M for children’s causes. These boys represent the very generation we are fighting to support.
What I realised during today’s run is that the discipline I apply to my 16.5-year streak is the same foundation they are building every time they step onto that field. Resilience isn't something you're born with; it’s something you earn through consistency. My message to them is simple: keep doing what you’re doing. Keep playing. Keep enjoying it. Because that same spirit of enjoyment is what gets me through Day 1924 and what will carry me to Day 1925 and beyond.
Consistency wins, whether you’re chasing a football or chasing a global running goal. One day at a time, we keep moving forward for the kids.
