Could THIS be the most beautiful run of my life in over 1,900 days? If you’re searching for real adventure, stop scrolling now—because I’m about to take you on a journey that proves running is more than putting one foot in front of the other… it’s about finding magic in new places and moments that stay with you forever.
Welcome to Day 1,916 of the Runpreneur Challenge
After running daily for over five years—yes, every single day—I’ve covered thousands of miles and witnessed countless sunrises, sunsets, and hidden pockets of natural beauty. But every once in a while, a place stops you in your tracks—and you can’t help but share it with the world.
Today, I’m sharing a highlight from my ultimate mission: to run 40,075km for children’s causes, aiming to raise £1,000,000 along the way. If you believe adventure can save lives, you’re in the right place.
Discovering Galera: Beyond the Usual Holiday Hotspots
This summer, my family and I ventured beyond the bustling tourist spots of Malaga and Marbella, swapping them for something truly extraordinary—a small, traditional Spanish village called Galera, nestled high in the mountains at 850 metres above sea level. Here, the landscape changes from verdant coastlines to sun-scorched fields and breathtaking mountain vistas. The air is quieter. The pace slows.
But the magic ingredient? This village is famed for cave houses. Yes, homes built inside caves—with a warmth and atmosphere unlike anywhere I’ve ever stayed. (There’s enough to talk about here for another post entirely!)
Why This Is One for the Top 5 Runs of My Life
You know a run is going to be special when you get goosebumps before you’ve even tied your laces. As I set out, the sun hung low over the horizon—just an hour before sunset, casting dramatic shadows and golden light across the rugged desert landscape. Olive trees dotted fields, mountains stood sentinel all around, and every step offered another panoramic view you’d struggle to paint, even with a vivid imagination.
What struck me most wasn’t just the beauty, but how consistent it was. Every twist and turn provided another jaw-dropping sight—and as a streak runner, those rare runs where perfection seems unbroken are why I keep pushing on day after day. These moments are just as much spiritual as they are physical.
Why I Run—And Why I’m Asking You to Join Me
Runners know that the true value of the journey isn’t just measured in miles, but in gratitude. Each beautiful run renews my appreciation for the challenge. It’s a reminder of why I lace up my shoes, document my progress, and chase this bold target to raise £1,000,000 for children’s causes.
Every new subscriber, share, or comment boosts our cause and pushes us closer to this life-changing target. Because with every story told and every penny raised, we have the power to save more young lives.
